How Osama's Expectations Tell A Story
Watching Bin Laden speaking on his now famous tapes (the ones found at Jalalabad) we could not help wondering why he said that he; "Did not expect so much damage at the Twin Towers." Our questions to him are "If you had not expected this much damage then how much damage had you expected?" And "Why is it that you expected damage at all, if you did not know in advance that the Twin Towers would be attacked?" You claimed in your first tape that was released for circulation, that you did not have advance knowledge of the attacks.
The latest tape is not one that you have sent out for circulation, but it has been impounded when Jalalabad fell to the anti-Taliban forces. In this tape, that was recorded immediately after the attacks, you let us know that you had "expected" some damage. This presumes that you knew that an attack was coming. Not that the sensible folks in this world need any proof of your involvement. We always thought that you were behind the attacks - now we know what we thought - has been proved to be true.
What you have said is enough to implicate you in the eyes of those who have asked for the proof of your guilt. Here is what nails your guilt in your own words: "We calculated in advance the number of ... enemy who would be killed," at the World Trade Center. "We calculated that the floors that would be hit would be three or four floors. I was the most optimistic."
Gesturing with your hands, you have said that you had figured that the burning jet fuel, "would melt the iron structure of the building and collapse the area where the plane hit" and take down only the floors above it.
You add; "This is all that we had hoped for," you said, holding one hand up vertically and striking it with the other as though it were a plane hitting a building.
Bin Laden, now history knows the truth of your henious deed. And we assure you that all those who share your glee and your outlook will pay for their crimes.
