The Pope, the President and Human Cloning

Dear President Bush,
We congratulate you on your bold stand at Rome to defy public opinion and legal advice and abide by His Holiness, the Pope's advice to you to ban the initiative of stem cell research which is an essential step towards human cloning.
Without being too verbose we'd like to also censure Galileo Galilei who five hundred before you refused to take the Pope's advice and state that it was the Sun that revolved round the earth and persisted in his hearsay that it was the Earth that revolved round the sun.
Had Galileo followed the Pope's advice then today we would have been studying in our textbooks that the earth is the center of the universe and the entire universe including the sun revolves round the earth. Don't we all see it happening in the skies everday and every night?
But President Sir, mercifully the times are changing and today unlike Galileo; people occupying the most powerful chair on this planet are ready to act as advised by our Holy Father. God save us - Amen.

For those who have missed the irony in the above write-up; our serious advice to the President of the USA is to leave matters of faith to the Pope while leaving scientific research in the right hands - in the hands (and brains) of those who occupy the Science Labs. If not, maybe the Pope will tomorrow ask for NASA to be disbanded since the folks there dabble in god's creation - the Heavenly bodies in the Universe!
