Here is what CNN has to say on this topic:
Bomb explodes in mosque in India
HYDERABAD, India (AP) -- A bomb exploded in a mosque, wounding two people and prompting mob attacks that injured five others in the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, where several churches have been bombed this month.
Christian organizations have blamed attacks on fundamentalist Hindu organizations that have called for bans on conversions to Christianity and elimination of constitutional protections for Muslims and Christians.
The groups are affiliated with the Bharatiya Janata Party that governs India.
Muslims make up about 40 percent of the 600,000 people in Guntur.
We from the hindutva team, condemn the Attacks on Christians and Churches and have the following questions before us.
1. Who are the real culprits behind the bomb blasts?? The ISI?? Or the Hindu organisations??
We see a pattern between the serial Mumbai bomb blasts of March 1993 and the simultaneous serial bomb blasts in Churches at different locations. The GOI should first get to the bottom of this matter and identify and expose the real culprits, whosoever they are and punish them if they happen to be Indian citizens. If they turn out to be infiltrators, we cannot do much apart from exposing them for the world to know.
2. What do we do to tackle the root of this problem? Which organisations do we help for the social work part?
There are many such organisations - the Chinmaya Mission, Ramakrishna Mission, ISCKON, Gayatri Parivar, Amritanandamayi Mission, Swadhaya Parivar, Vivekananda Kendra, Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, etc., are a few of them. We know that by suggesting these names we will be branded as Hindu revivalists. But never mind, we know we are rational-humanists. And the people of Bharat have had a Human Welfare view since ancient times and this is reflected in the phrase "Lokaha Samashtaha Sukhinaha Bhavantuhu" Let there be the maximum welfare of the everybody.
Also we should examine to what extent the de-humanizing caste system plays a role in people becoming Christians. Conversion to Islam over the last 800 years was largely at the pain of death and many millions of Hindus succumbed to Islam at the point of the sword. So this is a different category. But about the conversion to Christianity today, the reasons are not entirely in the activities of missionaries, but in the retrograde attitude of some Hindus - His Grace the Sankaracharya Swami Nischalanada of Puri Mutt is one glaring example. He says that Vanvasis were Vanvasis before they became Christians and now after coming back to the Hindu fold they will remains Vanvasis since they were Vanvasis originally. And to avoid embarrassing situations they will have segregated Swastik temples!! Why so?? Can't they come up in live and be something different. Will you tell them that in Hinduism there is a water-tight compartmentalization wherein you inherit your status in society by the caste or category you are born into??
3. Do conversions have a destablizing effect? Yes it has, and as a rationalists, we would say "Don't just ban conversion, but also BAN the right of the public practice of religion. Religion is a private matter of how one decides to co-relate with the unknown universe, so a display of one's choice through public prayer, processions, etc is harmful as it divides humankind in warring factions. Since the objective of all religious activity is ultimately to reach heaven or salvation, religion is and should be limited to being a purely private activity all over the globe. We know the world is not prepared for anything as revolutionary as banning the public practice of religion, but this is the direction in which human society will eventually progress - over the next few hundred years."
This will settle once and for all - all the thorny issues worldwide of the friction between different religions. The current discussion of the Attacks on Christians and the Bomb Blasts in the Churches is a part of the same feud between different religions.

Through conversion Christians want to impose their choice of deity on the Hindus, the Hindus are passive victims of an intellectual assault. But the answer lies in an even more powerful and cogent intellectual counter-assault. We have tried to this through the website.
Let us add only one more point that the Hindu outlook gives you the freedom to be a rationalist or an irrational (religious) person of any shade. Monotheistic religions impose only one single irrational (religious) choice on their followers. In this respect the Hindu outlook is closer to the rational outlook that is ideal for human society. (But the caste system associated with Hindu society has made a mockery of equality of opportunity and social justice and it is high time that we abolish caste complexes from our minds.)
Hence although some of us who maintain this site were born and brought up as devout Hindus (some as Muslims and Christians), we have exercised our choice and are Rational-Humanists today - the way Swatantryaveer Savarkar was the way Ataturk was, the way Bhagat Singh was.
A true Hindu is an Universalist as that is the essence of Hindutva - the ideology that represents the Hindu Outlook. Now the question is What comprises the "Hindutva" Outlook?
